5:00 pm - 7:30 pm (overall)

Staff arrives: 5:00 and stays until 7:30 for prep and clean -up

Parents attend: 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

• Note: parents come at 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The thirty minutes prior are for prep and clean up for staff.

This is an evening event. Children and parents come to meet our staff and view the classrooms. Staff arrives 30 minutes prior to the event. Teachers report to the classrooms to ensure they are clean/decorated and prepared to greet your students. Teachers may choose to send out a Signup Genius along with the Welcome Email that is sent out the Monday prior to Meet the Teacher. This is optional but can help spread out your families over time rather than all families showing up at one time.

Specials will have welcome tables set up to meet with parents. There may also be additional tables for spirit wear, etc.

For this evening, you will be provided a Class Folder that will contain your Class Roster, Room Parent Volunteer Needed Flyer to hang outside your door and a Room Parent Volunteer Sign-Up. If you teach fours and fives, you will receive a Hearing & Vision Screening Form (this must be signed by the parent on this evening and turned into Asst. Director’s pocket. You will also receive a Family Information Form to give to parents to fill out at home and return to you. This is for your information and does not need to be turned into the office. You may receive a F.A.R.E Form, a notice of a child in your class with an allergy. This will be posted inside your cabinet door for quick reference.

Note: For the Hearing & Vision Form and the Family Information Form, you will receive (1) copy, therefore you will need to make enough copies for your class prior to Meet the Teacher Event.

There is no childcare for this event. If you have a Kid Care student, please make arrangements with your child’s teachers to attend earlier or later when it does not place you out of your own room to meet new parents.

Staff Attire:

Staff shirts and nice, clean jeans or pants.
