Art Show & Open House
Art Show | Open House is for every class. All staff arrives 30 minutes prior to the event. Decorate your classroom to show off students work (can be projects, crafts, worksheets, etc.) Pro-tip: Collect items throughout the year to showcase in your classroom for Open House. The Art Show is during Open House to showcase ONE piece of artwork per student arranged in a class grouping on display. Artwork will not go home on this evening. It can be sent home later as teachers’ discretion. This will be set up in a separate room to showcase. Artwork will either be hung up to display or set on a table. Teachers will respond with whether they are hanging art work or using an easel on tabletop. Keep in mind this is to be process artwork not teacher project artwork.
* Teachers will determine and provide what type of paper they want to use (i.e. canvas, construction, watercolor, sculptures, models, etc.).
* Kid Care will provide black mounting paper that is 12 x 18 to back the artwork.
*Please be sure that artwork is mounted on black paper to give it the look of being framed. This black backing is provided from Kid Care.
* Label each artwork with the child’s first name and last initial, age of child and a Bible verse you have chosen for your class artwork theme (and that can be any way you choose but must be on the front.)
* Teachers will provide a typed description of the art process on an 8.5 x 11 portrait format mounted on black paper to give it the look of being framed. This black paper is provided from Kid Care.
* Do NOT laminate any part of artwork.
